Here's who I am & what I do

Hi, I'm Maddie! Thank you for taking the time to review my application for a Deakin Leadership Hallmark.

I started my university journey in 2017 at the University of Western Australia (UWA) studying science before moving to Deakin University to pursue my Bachelor of Laws in 2020. I initially studied at Geelong Waterfront where I lived on campus however due to Covid-19, I have been studying online ever since. Thanks to Deakin's exceptional online learning support I have been able to pursue a number of leadership opportunities across Australia while completing my studies.

My UWA studies have contributed as recognised prior learning to my Deakin degree, and so I hope that my leadership involvement during that study period may also be evaluated in contribution to this award.

I'd like to acknowledge the Wiradjuri people who are the Traditional Custodians of the Land where I work, live and study. I would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present of the Wiradjuri Nation and extend that respect to other Indigenous Nations where I travel.
